Eliott 건 Lesage is a Paris-based photographer and visual artist of Korean heritage, working across fine art and fashion photography. He treats the image as material : grain, chemistry, and support become surfaces to alter in order to question the fragility of memory and perception.

His practice first took shape in Distorted Memories, a cycle of three series, Veil, Setback and Family Substitute, following a single movement: perceiving, erasing, rewriting. Rather than depicting trauma, he photographs its traces, letting chemical accident interrupt technical control until the image becomes a palimpsest. This approach runs throughout his work, in which he questions the materiality of the image and its relationship to our inner self.
